Over time, EDR Antwerp Shipyard has developed a tailor-made solution for the inland market. Excellent time management is combined with high quality working standards and respect for a clean working area.

We understand that owners, captains and managers of inland vessels work differently and have specific requirements. We therefore specially offer reduced docking rates and charges and cooperate closely with the Master or Owners’ Representative on board. 

With years of experience in ship repair and maintenance, our service engineers are well-trained in their respective fields of competence. We are thus able to offer you the highest level of overall expertise, providing speed and quality at very competitive rates.


Our drydocks 3 and 4, including the largest vessel & push barge setup, are suitable for even the biggest inland vessels.

During dry docking we provide various general services; shorepower, fire line, compressed air, drinking water, garbage collection and dirty water collection.

EDR Antwerp Shipyard offers a one-stop solution for all steel works, machinery repairs, electrical repairs, cleaning operations, hydroblasting & painting of ballast tanks and cargo holds, stevedore/ship’s crane damages, spare part distribution and technical supplies.


EDR Antwerp Shipyard can offer an all-in one package for washing & repainting your vessel. You can rely on our technical expertise and transparent cooperation to ensure a smooth docking.

We offer high pressure washing from 250 to 2,500 bar. The most frequent choices are 500 bar for standard washing and 1250 bar to remove marine growth & loose paint.

For a completely fresh and clean looking hull, we can offer all types of blasting up to Sa 2,5.

EDR Antwerp Shipyard provides your preferred paint, including paint specifications established by a recognized paint specialist.

Our dedicated paint department is experienced in all conservation methods, cooperating closely with all Class- and paint inspectors. 


EDR Antwerp Shipyard has a dedicated team for dismantling and assembling all kinds of propellers and shafts, both for planned maintenance and for emergency dockings.

We repair, replace and align damaged propellers and bow thrusters, including a complete seal box replacement & overhaul. 

We combine forces with OEM and Makers’ specialists to ensure a quality job at competitive prices. 


Our steelworks department is the largest department of EDR Antwerp Shipyard. Hatch cover repairs, shell plate replacements, repairs on gangways, handrails, walkways and safety stanchions, pipe repairs or renewals, pre-fabrication of parts or entire steel constructions, bay conversions, cell guide repairs, etc. 

Our workshop is BV approved and fully equipped to carry out all marine and offshore related repair and conversion steel works. We have several CNC/lathe machines, an ultra-modern plasma cutting machine and much more, enabling us to keep all fabrication ‘in house’ whereby high quality is guaranteed for results within the shortest possible timeframe. For this purpose, we keep an average stock of 100MT of steel plates (LR Grade A, EH36, …), steel bars, and welding consumables.

The combination of our yard facilities and certified workshop is suited to address the largest conversion projects. We can provide all the required documents (NDT, steel certificates, welding procedures, etc).
